| Course Title: | Success - How to Get What You Need from Evaluation |
| Course Description: | * NEW DATE!* Evaluation is hard for most of us! Have you given surveys only to find you didn't ask the question the best way or didn't get the data that you really needed? Have you wondered "how many responses are enough for the data to be valid"? The morning training session will include looking at the methodology of community health assessment; collection tools and focus groups; how to ask survey questions and provide the answers; data limitations – small numbers for small counties and communities; and an interactive exercise to apply these skills. The second half of the training will focus on specific participant needs; reviewing your surveys and projects you bring with you to see how they may be used more effectively to meet your evaluation needs. Presenter Adrian Dominguez, an Epidemiologist with the Spokane Regional Health District, will strive to answer these questions for participants. Adrian received his MS in 1992 and has over 15 years experience working in community health assessment with various populations. Lunch will be provided. |
