Course Title: Digital Storytelling
Course Description: In our digital world, tobacco program staff and partners need cutting edge media skills to be effective. This workshop, presented by Malory Graham from Reel Grrls, explores how media literacy and digital storytelling can be integrated into one program. The training will include story generation and development ideas, scripting and storyboarding, and basic editing. From this creative, idea-packed workshop, participants will come away with concrete curriculum lesson plans, equipment purchase guidelines, and know-how about incorporating digital storytelling into teen prevention and advocacy programs. Participants will also get a chance to view youth-produced media and learn more about the national youth media movement.
